Fall Races In Southern Utah

    You love to run, but with temperatures being a little warm, you find yourself daydreaming of running through crisp leaves and cool breezes.

    Southern Utah has many races to choose from this fall.

    The St. George Marathon:

    October 3rd 2015

    This race was voted “Most Organized Marathon” January 2010  in the  Runners World Magazine.

    Trick or Tri:

    October

    starts at 9:00 am-team relay

    12:00 pm- Beginner

    2:00 pm- Tuff Kids

    $45 Beginner, $65 Sprint relay, $15 Tuff kids

    Save a Sister: 1 mile walk- 5k & 10k

    Oct.

    9:00 am

    Desert Hills High School

    $25 – 10k & 5k, $20- 1 mile walk

     

    Snow Canyon Half Marathon
    November
    Race Starts at 8:30 am for the half marathon

                          9:00 am for the 5k

                          11:30 am for the “Tuff Kids Run”

    Fee: $45 half marathon; $25 5k; $10 Tuff Kids Run
    The half marathons route winds through the scenic landscape of Snow Canyon State Park

     

    The Turkey Trot:

    November

     $5 and 3 cans of food for ages 9 and older.

     under 8 then 3 cans of food.

    This is a 5k and 1 mile walk.

    A family fun run for all ages!

    The race is not timed and helps to raise food for the Dixie Care and Share in St. George.

    At the end of the race frozen turkeys and lots of prizes are raffled off.

    This is a family event so bring your little ones and strollers and make a memory.

     

    Butch Cassidy Run:

    This race follows alongside the scenic Virgin River from Springdale to the historic Grafton ghost town.

     November

    A fun run with beautiful scenery!

    10k and 5k.

    Both of these races offer beautiful views as you cross the finish line in Grafton.

     $25

     

    Jingle Bell Run:

     December

    Wear your bells and come join the fun while raising money and awareness for the Arthritis Foundation’s fight for arthritis.

    Entrants are given jingle bells to tie on their shoe laces and encouraged to put on costumes for the holiday season.

    This is a great family and community tradition.

    The fee is $25

    St. George and the Southern Utah area has so much to offer for everyone’s interests.

    Weather in Southern Utah can’t be beat for fall races in St. George this time of year.
